My name is Mrs. Kathleen Bell and I have been teaching at SS. Peter and Paul since the fall of 1980. I have taught second, third and fifth grades in the past and am currently teaching fourth grade. I was born in New Jersey and moved to Illinois when I was 10. I attended Catholic grade schools and Carmel High School for Girls in Mundelein. I received my undergraduate degree in education from Northern Illinois University. In December 2007, I received a Masters of Arts (M.A.T.) in teaching from Webster University. I am married and have one adult son. I love animals. Two turtles, one parakeet, two bearded dragons and one guinea pigs are the current crop of classroom pets.
The mission for the Class
My mission for my class is to teach the students to think for themselves and to ask questions. I also spend time teaching students to be responsible and to work to their potential in an environment that is safe and effective for optimum learning. The children learn that everyone is equal and everyone matters! We all realize that we are children of God and that we all have a special purpose in life. I feel that we work as a team to create an atmosphere that is Christian, conducive to learning and fun.
