    SSPP

SS. Peter and Paul Catholic School is a PK through 8th grade school located in Cary, Illinois, and is accredited by the Diocese of Rockford and the Illinois State Board of Education. Founded by the Dominican Sisters in 1928, SS. Peter & Paul School is designed to contribute to the total development of the child: spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. Our dedicated faculty is comprised of highly educated teachers committed to Catholic Education. The faculty and staff endeavors not only to teach Catholic doctrine and values but to help the students live the Catholic message in their daily lives. SSPP recognizes that education begins in the family; in partnership with the family, the school will help each child develop his or her greatest potential.

Standardized test results consistently rank our students among the top nationally. Our students continue on to high school and beyond with great success, including many valedictorians and salutatorians at Cary-Grove, Prairie Ridge, and Marian Central high schools.

In addition to grades 1 - 8, SS. Peter and Paul School offers 2, 3, and 4 year old Preschool and full day Kindergarten. Our current enrollment of 280 students come from many communities, including Cary, Oakwood Hills, Trout Valley, Fox River Grove, Lake in the Hills, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Island Lake, Wauconda, Prairie Grove and Woodstock.

The foundation of an education at SS. Peter and Paul School is centered on Christian values. Our students regularly plan and participate in liturgical celebrations and service projects. An all-school Mass is celebrated once a week. All students receive daily lessons in faith formation. In addition, second grade students receive preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion.

SS. Peter and Paul School follows the Diocese of Rockford curriculum which exceeds both state and national standards. Students receive a quality education not only in the subject areas of Religion, Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, but also in Technology, STEM, Spanish, Music, PE, and Art. SSPP is equipped with two computer labs, music, art, and band rooms, science and STEM labs, a library, and a gym. Students at SS. Peter & Paul are offered a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including a no cut sports program, band, drama club, academic competitions, Young Rembrandts, Scouts, Snapology, Chess Club, and more.

SS. Peter and Paul School recognizes the important role that technology plays in the lives of our students, and is committed to providing our students with essential 21st Century technology skills. Technology begins in PK and is incorporated into every aspect of the academic program at SSPP. Students have access to two computer labs, a 1:1 laptop program in grades 5-8, and a 1:1 iPad program in grades PK-5.
